IT'S BEEN A YEAR

Hey guys today we have an extra special post; Marachi's Closet is a  year. I just can't believe that I've been a blogging for a year. To all those who thought I would give up easily; this is just the beginning. There has been so many changes to the blog this year, starting with the name change in January ( it was formerly brown eyed fashion lover) and the creation of the youtube channel a month ago. Today I decided to do something a bit different from our normal posts; I decided to do an interview.
So I interviewed Wunika Mukan and Wunika is the brand director for the African Artists Foundation; a non profit contemporary art organization based in Ikoyi, Lagos and I also spent a day with her so that will also be included in the blog. The AAF (as it is often called) was founded in 2007 by Azu Nwagbogu and conducts many projects including their flagship one; the Lagos Photo Festival which is going to conduct its sixth edition in October. Other projects by the organization include-
- The National Art Competition in collaboration with Nigerian Breweries
- YECA- Youth Empowerment through Contemporary Art
- Art Base Africa ( an online platform for debating about African Contemporary Art
- The Female Artist's Platform ( Includes art exhibitions including one that took place in July)
